Admin Judge
The full title is "presiding judge of an administrative judicial region" but often the shorter term "admin judge" is used.
An administrative judicial region ("AJR") covers a large area, usually multiple counties, and its purpose is to handle the back-office administration of things like having one judge fill in for another judge who is sick or going on vacation, etc.
When a party to a case files a motion for judicial disqualification or a motion to recuse the judge, obviously there would need to be another judge taking the place of one who was recused or disqualified.
And if the judge gets convicted of a crime and removed from office, then obviously other judges would need to come to that court and cover all of the cases that were then before that court.
The judges who are working at the offices of this AJR don't have any court cases of their own to deal with; they simply focus on the administration involved with making sure things go smoothly in all of the courts located within that region.
